Trace Derivative

Instructions

• Use the drop down menu to select a function.
• Click the checkbox for 'Show Trace' to turn the trace of the derivative on or off.
• Click the checkbox for 'Tangent Line' to show or hide the tangent line at $f(A)$.
• The green line is a tangent to the function through point $f(A)$.
• Drag point $A$ to see how the slope of the tangent line changes.
  • When 'Show Trace' is on, the graph of $f'(x)$ will be drawn as you move point $A$.
